(LEFT): This beautiful Marquette is a precise reproduction of the life-size Kevin Pettelle statue gracing the atrium of Sultan City Hall. A sculpted relief of the little boy sitting atop the tree stump, who seems to be dreaming of his future, is also available. All proceeds to go the Frends of the Sultan Library to help pay for library necessities such as furnishings and equipment that could otherwise not be provided. Donations also help fund many year-round library programs (such as "Teddy Bear and Me") and special events, annual scholarships ($2,000), window murals advertising library events, a public copier and diaper-changing stations in the restrooms of city hall. Moreover, the Friends' events, such as their sponsorship of the 2004 Brun Journy concert, greatly enhances the quality of life of Sultan and the beautiful Sky Valley. The Friends' organization raised over $41,000 for items needed for the Sultan library when it relocated to its new home at 319 Main Street in August of 2000. |

There's a Friends' book sale every day of the year. The Friends also hold semi-annual book and media sales each April and Octoberm and often during special events, such as the Sultan Shindig. These sales help to raise funds for the Friends' two $1,000 scholarships.
The Friends give "Frequent Reader" discounts, as well. Ask libratry staff about them. |
The Friends maintain a book sale 365 days a year. They also purchased and maintain a public copier (shown to the left of the shelves). Discounts are offered to regular customers as a "thank you" for their patronage and support. |
