(Tree Design by Janice Hoagland, memorial leaf design and bronze leaf sculpturing

The exciting and unique donor tree shown below allows members of the community to memorialize a loved one,
or commemorate a life event by an engraving on a bronze "leaf"

The photo at right is a "composite" of the Sultan Library donor tree, " split" into two parts by the window in the library's southeast corner (see below). In addition to the bronze "leaves" (which are actually engraved memorial plaques), the tree is home to many delightful woodland creatures pictured at the base of the tree, and peeking out from among the tree's foliage.

The tree was designed by Artists Janice Hoagland. The bronze leaves were designed and each one created and engraved by nationally-renown sculptor and Sultan local artist Kevin Pettelle. There are 48 leaves on the tree, each of which took approximately 40 to 60 hours to design and engrave. Additional leaves can be purchased. Contct the library for information.

The donor tree is "split" by the Library's corner window. Sponsored by the Friends, this window is decorated throughout the year with with appealing library-related scenes and themes which are painted by artists from the Sultan schools.

The Tree is "home" to many marvelous animals:
